Duenyas explores music-based activities in Counseling Education Oct 8, 2025 | Dr. Deborah Duenyas, professor of Counselor Education, presented on “Finding my Rhythm in Counselor Education: Integrating Music-based Activities into Teaching and Supervision,” at the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES) conference in Philadelphia, on Oct. 9.
New research on inclusive playrooms for Marshallese children Oct 8, 2025 | In September, Dr. Margaret Hindman, assistant professor of Counselor Education, published “Creating a child-centered playroom for Marshallese children” through Qeios.
Steger earns doctorate with dissertation on Gen Z giving Sep 10, 2025 | Jack Steger successfully defended his dissertation on Aug. 15, titled “Beyond the Degree & Financial Obligations: An Examination of Generation Z (1995-2010) Perspectives, Attitudes, and Motivations on Giving to American Higher Education.”
Banik serves on Community Health Needs Steering Committee Oct 8, 2025 | Dr. Swagata Banik, dean and professor in the DePerro School of Health Professions, served as a Steering Committee member for Cattaraugus and McKean County Community Health Needs Assessment.
Moritz presents research on sports gambling coverage Apr 22, 2026 | Dr. Brian Moritz associate professor and director of online journalism MA programs, presented research into how sports journalists are covering gambling scandals at the IACS Summit on Communication and Sports.
Bynoe to moderate symposium and present international research May 7, 2026 | Dr. Tyrone Bynoe, professor (as of 9-1-2026) and director of the educational leadership programs leading to advanced supervisory licensure, is the moderator of a symposium for a book that is in production with Emerald Group Publications.
Rizzuto earns certified aging-in-place specialist credential Aug 21, 2025 | Dr. Aime Rizzuto, clinical assistant professor of Occupational Therapy, completed a rigorous three-part certification series to earn her CAPS (Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist) credential.
Bynoe and Superintendent Morris collaborate on book chapter Oct 8, 2025 | Dr. Tyrone Bynoe, associate professor and director of the educational leadership programs leading to advanced supervisory licensure, has co-authored a book chapter for publication with Dr. Genelle Morris, the lead author and superintendent of the Olean City School District.
Harris and DeSimone to present research on student perceptions Oct 8, 2025 | Faculty members Heather Harris, MFA, and Kimberly DeSimone, Ph.D., have been selected to present their research at the upcoming Academy of Business Research Conference, to be held Oct. 29–31 in Marathon, Florida.
