Harris exhibition to help Quick Center launch 30th anniversary

Dr. Chris Mackowski, professor in the Jandoli School of Communication, has been named an inaugural member of the Gettysburg History Council, an initiative of the Adams County (PA) Historical Society in Gettysburg.

Students in St. Bonaventure University’s prestigious Oxford program were part of a small but historic moment last week when student Alyssa Perkins delivered the opening blessing at the weekly banquet at Trinity College in an indigenous American language.

Bona students conduct research for presentation at conference

Students in Anne Lee’s “Women, Minorities and the Media” course and Richard Lee’s “Media and Democracy” course are assisting with research for a presentation about Patricia Kennealy-Morrison, who studied journalism at St. Bonaventure in the 1960s and had successful careers covering rock’n’roll, developing advertising campaigns and writing novels.

A peer-reviewed book chapter by Dr. Tammy Rae Matthews, assistant professor of Sports Journalism and Digital Journalism, has been published in the book "Instructing Intersectionality: Critical and Practical Strategies for the Journalism and Mass Communication Classroom."

ɬ's Sackett presents documentary work on Kinzua and the Senecas

Scott Sackett, a documentary filmmaker, public media producer and Jandoli School of Communication lecturer, co-presented his documentary work on Kinzua Dam and the Seneca Nation of Indians at the Yager Museum of Art & Culture at Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, on April 11. The screening and panel discussion were hosted by Dr. Quentin Lewis, museum curator.

ɬ's Mackowski gives talks and tours in Boston as part of America 250

Dr. Chris Mackowski, professor of Communication, presented a pair of programs for the American Battlefield Trust in Boston, Massachusetts, in early May. The talks were part of America 250, an ongoing celebration and commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence that runs through July 4, 2026.

Dr. Pauline W. Hoffmann, associate professor in the Jandoli School, completed the Richard P. Nathan Public Policy Fellowship with the Rockefeller Institute of Government by developing a public policy report and blog post titled "Mis/Disinformation and Lead Poisoning."
