Separate dates are established each year for first-year, new transfer students, and returning students to arrive on campus and move into their residence halls.

Our newest Bonnies, the Class of 2030, will move into their residence halls during a schedule of welcoming activities. More information on the Welcome Weekend activities can be found on the

Thursday, Aug. 27 Transfer Students
- 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Transfer residential students will move into their residence halls on Friday. Residence Life will email students specific move-in instructions in August.
Friday, Aug. 28 First-Year Students
- 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.: First-year students will move into their residence halls on Friday. Residence Life will email students specific move-in instructions in August. There will be plenty of volunteers on hand to help students and their families unload vehicles and carry belongings to rooms.
Saturday and Sunday August 29-30 Returning Students

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. All arriving students check in at the tent across from Francis Hall **
6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Key pick up in the Lobby in Francis Hall.

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All arriving students check-in at Francis tent **
After 5 p.m. Students are to go to Safety and Security located in Doyle Hall to get their key.
** If there is inclement weather, key pick up will be in the Lobby in Francis Hall.
Monday, August 31: Fall semester classes begin
Transfer Orientation is an important program for transfer students to attend and learn how to use Moodle (our academic platform), discuss your academic path with an academic advisor, meet your peer coach (a student who has been at ɬÂþÌìÌà for at least a full year), explore campus employment, and even have the opportunity to walk your schedule with a student leader before classes begin. The date for Transfer Orientation: Friday, August 28, 2026, at 10 a.m. in the Doyle Conference Center. After Orientation, Transfer students can join in the activities planned for Welcome Days.
